Pre-Conference Workshop: The Engaging Educator
We are excited to work with the Indianapolis Museum of Art to offer "The Engaging Educator" featuring Jen Olenisczak.
$20 Public / $10 Member* / Registration required

Experience and learn techniques for engaging students through improv, movement, and theatrical lenses during this 90 minute workshop facilitated by The Engaging Educator, Jen Oleniczak. This workshop is presented in conjunction with the annual conference of the Art Educators Association of Indiana (AEAI). Educators of all subject areas and grade levels are welcome. This event is eligible for two Professional Growth Plan (PGP) points.
Please register by Friday, October 4. The first three registered will receive a teacher goodie bag.
Payment should be brought to the workshop. Make checks payable to the Art Education Association of Indiana. (Note: Museum Education Division.)

NAEA approved in 2012 two important museum education-related position statements. They are the Position Statement on Excellence in Art Museum Teaching and Position Statement on the Benefits of Art Museum Learning in Education. Owsley Museum of Art ExpandingBall State University announced it is expanding and renovating the David Owsley Museum of Art. The Museum of Art, in Muncie, Indiana, remains open, however the Ancient, Asian, Decorative Arts, and Ethnographic galleries will be off of view through summer of 2013. Galleries will reopen in the fall of 2013. Groups may continue to book tours online.
